The answer is 95% no.  there are special circumstances where pain can be felt when there is alot of swelling or muscle spasm.  In our office when this is present we will not manipulate with an osscious manuever, we chose to use the cold-laser therapy.  The treatment is pain free, patients can  not feel the light, only the benefit once the treatment is over.
