Over the last 28 years of practice we have found marked differences between different peoples aging processes. Have you ever wondered why some people age at different rates? Our observations have led us to form these opinions: Diet: the better the diet the less toxins, MSG, and other chemicals the less the tissue breaks down. Stress: We all have stress. How we manage it, internally process it can make all the difference in the world with how fast our bodies break down. Being able to disapate the stess is key. Our sensory nervous system will dissociate from over stimulus and the brain then has issues of controling the cell functions properly. Our best defense against stress is routine examinations of the sensory nervous system. The routine check-ups are critical if you wish to reduce the aging properties of your body. Ex. 14year old boy enteres clinic with chronic low back pain, his health history indicated that he had hit his head really hard on two occasions. One lack of memory was experienced. This occured when he was 7 and 9 years old. He did not develope the lower back pain until he was 13.5 years old. Our examination revealed major sensory dissociated states from directly hitting his head years ago. It was our clinical opinion that the sensory dissociation occured in those injuries. Then over the next 7 years his brain was not controlling his lower discs and he developed disc pathology in two of his lumbar discs. He is very well developed. He has excellent muscle tone, he gets alot of exercise. And if he had not hit is head twice he would not have developed the disc injury and therefore would not have needed care. It is our opinion that if he had not sought our care, and re-established his sensory nervous system properly, his athletic and over all health would continued to decline, advanced AGING would have occured in his physical body to a point where his physical age at 49 would have been around 60. How many times have you talked to a friend that said that they had a great healthy life in their 20's and 30's. That they wished that they had taken better care of themselves. Now they are suffering and can not have a productive life in their 40's. The sensory nervous system must be in proper working order or aging accelerates! Supplements: We highly endorce the use of high quality nutritional supplements. We will post more on this issue later. Eating out is a quick formula for disaster, eating complex spicy foods can cause advanced aging in the joints and poor absobtion of the gut. Peanuts and peanut butter are very toxic foods. Most soups, frozen dinners, perpaired foods that we buy in the stores are all negative dietary choices. Our bodies need exercise daily. Twenty minutes of elevated heart rate can do miracles. If you use it you will not loose it. Is our moto for maintaining and improving the function of the muscles and cardiovascular structure, of course the sensory nervous system is critical here to function properly, as well as the motor nerves. The spinal manipulative therapy assures that the motor nerves are working properly. If we have spinal subluxations, our motor nervous system is impaired, then when we use it we loose it.
