Knee pain even if the joint is severly degenerated can be greatly helped with our procedures.  The supporting and moving muscles of the knees must have proper sensory and motor nerve supply in order to move properly. 

Our procedures with manuel muscle testing  will identify which muscles are not functioning properly.  Our next step is to determine if the muscle weakness is a sensory or motor nerve supply issue.  Often in most cases the cause is a sensory nervous system dissociated state that is inhibiting the muscles to function properly.

Once the neurological disfunction is identified and treated with either mobalization of the spine or cold laser treatment, the usual case is that the patients pain dramatically improves as they leave the office.

We will instruct the patient on home care and lifestyle changes necessary to promote healing and to avoid the stimulant that produced the problem.

Example: Lady has very degenerated knee that will not straighten out and is extremely swollen.  She was considering a total knee replacement.  We found several sensory nerve pathways that had been present, we suspect, for quite some time, we treated her only with cold laser therapy.  In four visits she could walk with out pain, she often forgot that she has a disabled knee.  Currently with her proper awareness of her environment, she has not had a relapse.
